Although the shops were quiet, the endless restaurants were packed with families sitting together rejoicing everyone had made it through the last year. Many a drink was hoisted in this astounding and joyful day. As usual, the weather was perfect with bright clear sunshine and a light breeze floating by, temperatures in the miid-eighties. Gifts were given and everyone knows that mothers love great books. If you didn't purchase A Las Vegas Affair, there is always Memorial Day. A great summer read by the pool. The story is so much more than the ubiquitous love story with plenty to ponder after the last word.
