Starting his journey with the Coasters on the eastern seaboard, they amassed a long list of unforgettable classic standard rock songs. When the group experienced a harrowing landing in Hawaii, the other lead singer refused to board another plane. The group split and Cornell took over the western group. They traveled the world, including Hawaii, and continued on with their fame. Las Vegas became their home with Charlie Duncan as the manager, who moved up to lead singer. Tragedy struck. A must read, a great insight into music and Black history.
